I have always loved the customizable options samsung had held high over the head of apple. I used to be able to change my themes with the seasons and holidays. But they have gone and messed up. Ever since an update in March the ability to change the sound that rings when I get a text message from an unknown number I am now STUCK with an irish jig... I have also noticed that when selecting a theme the background for messages also no longer changes nor does my keyboard or the background of texts... I want the system I could customize back!
You have to go to notifications, advanced settings and turn on "manage notification categories for each app" and then you will be able to return to your messaging app and set different sounds for different people or change the default sound of the messaging app in general.
