Ways to identify Music playing on or near your phone.

1. Apple's "Shazam" can apparently do this. There is a version for Android available in the Play Store.

Here is a web page with instructions for setting it up.

2. If you're knowledgeable enough about phone tech, you can use the "Shizuku" app from the Play Store and sideload the "Ambient Music Mod" from GitHub to use with it.

This procedure will require you to turn on Developer Options on your phone. Here are instructions. Be sure that you know what you're doing if you're going to try this.

3. I've also seen recommendations for apps called "SoundHound" and "Musixmatch". These may require a paid subscription - be sure to read the reviews for these apps.
