Holidays are no longer showing up on my calendar

JUMP TO SOLUTION

So I went to look up when Mother's Day was this year and it's not on my calendar screen but Cinco de Mayo is also the Fourth of July is not listed on my calendar either. This is never been an issue before and I have not changed anything so I'm kind of curious as to why these days are not listed but Cinco de Mayo is.

Hi @Charrod1976

Not sure if you've tried yet but try these steps to see if the issue resolves.

-Open the Samsung Calendar app and tap on the hamburger (3 line menu)

-Tap on your Google Account to expand it

-Make sure that the Holidays are checked

-Remove Google account from device

-Restart device and add your Google Account back.

Hope this bit of info helps. Have a great one.

Re: Holidays are no longer showing up on my calendar

I've been searching for a solution to my problem, and this is the closest I've seen to it.

My problem, specifically, is that, while my Google Calendar's US Holidays work on the Google Calendar itself (looking at it on my computer), only *some* of those holidays - the least important ones (like Columbus Day) - are showing up, while others - the most important ones (like Thanksgiving and Christmas) - are not.

I'm trying to implement the solution you proposed, but I do not know how to "Remove Google account from device". Could you spell out the steps for that process? (BTW, I've got a Galaxy S9)

If I remove my Google account (and thereby all its contacts and notes) will all of its contents be automatically added back when I add my Google account back?

Just did a Google Search and apparently there is a lot of people who have the same problem with after March 17th holidays are not showing up on their Samsung calendar either and they have not discovered a fix. But yes holidays are selected.

If you just didn't check the box for holidays that will fix it. But if it is and still no holidays here's what worked for me.

- Tap the Hamburger

- Tap settings gear

- scroll down to holidays  and tap

- Under the email account of your chocie (if you have more than one) tap "Add country holidays".

- Select the country you want to use for holidays.

- Below that you can also tap for "religious holidays".

- Tap back until you are back in your calendar and it will import your selected holidays.

Boom!
