Galaxy S21I updated my phone 15 minutes ago and have had essentially the same issues named. Home and back buttons aren't working, with the back button freezing as if it's being pressed. Close all sometimes works, sometimes doesnt, but is the only way I can close out an app. Screen doesen't work otherwise, can't swipe and apps are unresponsive. Can't even make an emergency phone call with it.

Galaxy S21From my conversation using the help chat function, these were the instructions provided to me. TL;DR: Only way it was fixable for me was doing a full factory reset...
"1. Turn off the device.
2. Press and hold the Volume Up key and Power key. Keep holding for about 30 seconds
3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
4. An 'Installing system update' message may show briefly before the Android Recovery menu options appear.
5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight Wipe cache partition.
6. Press Power key to select.
7. Press the Volume down key to highlight Yes, then press the Bixby / Power key to select.
8. When the process is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
9. Press the power key to restart the device.
After clearing the cache partitions kindly do this, Starting Your Device in Safe Mode then try the Home and back button if working
1. Turn your Device off. To do this, press and hold the Power button and tap Power off.
2. When the Samsung logo displays, press and hold the Volume down key until the lock screen displays.
3. When the lock screen displays Safe mode will be shown in the lower-left corner of the screen.
Safe-mode
Exit Safe Mode:
To turn off Safe Mode, simply restart your Device"
At this point, since it hadn't worked, I was told to do a factory reset. That was the only way I was able to have full functionality of the screen again.
Hope this helps someone.
