s21 ultra has a worse issue, microphones doesn't work, I tried it with headphones and stayed the same issue and my friends can't hear me when I call them. It seems that has a problem in software as long as the issue still stays when use headphones.

Thank you for reaching out. There are a few things that can cause issues with the microphone on your phone or tablet. For example, an external device such as headphones may be preventing the microphone from working. Other times, you may hear a crackling noise, or sounds may be unclear in your recordings if the microphone is having problems. If you have tried the troubleshooting steps provided and are still experiencing these symptoms, I would recommend a service repair.

You can use the following link to find a list of service centers in the U.S. that can do the repair: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location or by contacting customer support at 1-800-726-7864.

is it possible you pierced microphone when trying to insert your sim card? the microphone port and the hole for the SIM card slot are are similar, the Sim slot is in a different area on the 21 and I've read blogs that people have pierced it by accident thinking it was the hole to open the sim slot

I have an issue as well after several days of using the phone with no issues. Not related to the sim removal tool as has been proposed. This is almost certainly a software/hardware issue.

Mine does this too, I can hear everything from music and calls but no one can hear me and I also just tried recording my dog barking and nothing,  tried using talk to text absolutely nothing is working with my microphone,  it's been in an otterbox since day 1 never around any dirt or anything.. I think it's just crappy software or something.  Pretty annoying on a $1500 phone especially when my screen glitches often too 😒
