Samsung email app automatic synchronisation

I'm using the Samsung email app. I have it set on automatic synchronisation. That seemed to work for a couple days. Even though the setting remains on auto, it now only updates when I manually open the app. How could I fix that? I have already rebooted my phone several times, and removed/reinstalled the app.

@Rosa98 It could be that it is being battery optimized.

- Go to phone settings
- Click on Apps
- Click on the Samsung Email app
- Click on Battery
- Click the option Unrestricted

Thanks! I just checked and it already is on unrestricted battery use.

Just in case this detail is relevant, I often need to open the app twice for the synchronisation to start.
