Send MMS to multiple recipients without being a group chat

It should be simple and it doesn't work. every time I try to send to multiple recipients I get a blocking pop-up about activating group conversation which I don't want. It's very painful that functionality gets worse and worse.

Tap 3 dots and Settings. Go to More Settings, Multimedia Messages and turn off Group Conversation.

If I do that I cannot send MMS to more than one at a time. It doesn't work
