Galaxy S21Hello Tam2dogs, Welcome to the Samsung community ! Looking back at your post I see that you are having issues with your sleep tracker and I would be more than happy to assist you with this situation. Below I have a list of troubleshooting steps you can attempt on your device.
- Sleep Target is set
- Go to Sleep Tab in Samsung Health mobile application > click on 3 dot settings on top right > Click on Set Target > Set Sleep Target
- The watch is not in Power Saving Mode
- The watch is charged to above 60% at the time of going to Bed
- Note that if the watch is not charged enough, it will stop measuring sleep sometime through the night or as soon as it is discharged
- Follow watch wearing guide carefully
- e.g., wearing the watch snugly in the correct position
- For snore testing, enable all permissions in the Samsung Health mobile application, especially the microphone
NOTE: If any of the above is missing, sleep will not be measured accurately.
Energy Score Measurement:
- Energy Score is measured accurately only when a Sleep Target is set, and when the user sleeps consistently for 4 hours of uninterrupted sleep
- Energy Score is calculated based on several factors such as sleep time average, sleep consistency, sleep regularity, previous day's activity, activity consistency, Sleeping HR, sleep HR variability.
If all these factors fall into an above-average range and the user is consistently following good sleep habits, the user will have a good energy score. If a Sleep Target is not set, an energy score will be measured
Sleep Score:
- Sleep score is dependent on several factors, such as actual sleep time, deep sleep, REM sleep, restfulness, sleep latency
- Note that if user gets into bed at the onset of their Set bed time target, but does not actually go to sleep and watch TV or is on the Phone, it will affect Sleep measurement. Watch starts measuring Sleep when user sleeps for 4 continuous hours in a night. If excessive movement is detected, watch detects this as awake
- Wear the watch to bed for 7 nights and measure Sleep for 7 nights in a row to know their Sleep Animal
If the issue is still ongoing after performing the troubleshooting steps, you may need need a second evalution of your device and can set up service herehttp://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location
