Software update "Your current software version isn't supported"?

I just bought a new S21 from a seller on Ebay. After I had set up the phone and had everything working properly, I went to Software Update and got this message:

I wrote the seller and got this message:

"Hi, Samsung was having a huge issue with the S21's becoming bricked when updating them so they arent allowing the S21s to be updated to avoid the phone becoming unusable."

Is this true? What should I do?

Seems like a issue with your phone. You can take it to a Samsung repair shop so they can flash it for you.

And the latest security patch is August. Well it could depend what model you have and service provider.

Each carrier gets same updates

I have 2 S22Ultras and one of them is saying the same thing and the other updated today so I'm trying to figure this out myself
