ā€ƒI have a Samsung s21+ (128gb) and 40gb is being used by the system. It didn't take up this much space originally and when I first got the phone it was around 15gb. I have seen people saying to turn off the phone and boot it up in android recovery mode and then wipe the cache partition but, when I then boot up the phone like normal nothing changes and I still have the same amount storage being used in the system. I have done this twice now but have had no luck and the other solutions don't seem to apply to my problem so I have run out of things to do. Any ideas or suggestions on what I am doing wrong or another way to fix this would be appreciated. Thanks

I see you said you tried rebooting into recovery mode to delete the cache partition. It can be a little tricky and may take a bit of practice.
Turn the device off. Once the phone is off, press the power button and volume up at the same time until the Samsung logo appears, then let go of both buttons. It may take a minute to enter recovery mode. Once in recovery mode, scroll down using the volume down key until you see "wipe cache" and select it using the power key. When confirmation dialog appears, scroll to yes using the volume key and select using the power key. The cache will clear. Select reboot now using the power key and the phone will reboot normally. Then you can check your storage space again to see if it improved.
