So I have noticed over the past month that the camera app on my S22 Ultra has become dramatically slow. I am curious if a few things:
1.) Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
2.) has there been any resolutions to this issue?
3.) what was the process to resolve that issue?

Have you tried clearing the camera app cache > go to device settings > apps > camera > storage > clear cache.
Or
Try wiping the cache partition to see if that helps. It's safe and won't remove your settings or app files. It clears unnecessary files, some of which may be corrupt and slowing the device down.
Follow the steps below,
Clear the cache partition
- Turn the phone off (shut down)
- Press and hold the Volume Up key, then press and hold the Side key.
- When the Android system recovery menu options show release buttons.
- Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
- Press Side key to select.
- Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, then press the Side key to select.
- When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
- Press the Side key to restart the device.

UPDATE: So I tried clearing Cache partition. This cut down the lag to half of what it was but the lag is still there.
To elaborate further
i.e.
When I take a picture and I go to the lower bubble to view said photo I can get into it fairly quick. However the lag comes in when I go back to the camera the lag was terrible but it was not cut down to half the lag time. It's still pretty bad. The transition that takes awhile is when it goes from a distorted complete blurry image to then the live image view to take the picture.
It's nowhere near as snappy as it once was just a few months ago and it's pretty ridiculous that it's this way now.

I would suggest submitting feedback to samsung by going to the homepage of the members' app > support > tap feedback.
Also, you could try doing a factory reset (backup your device beforehand) to see if that may help.
