Recently something changed with my S22 regarding clearing app cache in settings. I periodically clear various apps cache. In the past, clicking on clear cache would take it to 0. Recently, for example, clicking clear cache for chrome, Google, and others it either makes no change or very little change. Has anyone else had this problem? Any recommendations for a fix?

For now, you can try clearing your system cache, which can help clean up any old temp files that could be contributing to your battery issues.

To wipe the system cache,
Turn off the device.

Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Side key.

When the Android logo displays, release both keys.

An 'Installing system update' message may show briefly before the Android Recovery menu options appear.

Press the Volume down key several times to highlight Wipe cache partition.

Press Side key to select.
Press the Volume down key to highlight Yes, then press the Side key to select.

When the process is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.

Press the Side key to restart the device.

Unlike a master reset, wiping the cache partition does not delete your personal data. Turn off the device. Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Power key. When the Android logo displays, release both keys. An 'Installing system update' message may show briefly before the Android Recovery menu options appear. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight the Wipe cache partition. Press the Power key to select. Press the Volume down key to highlight Yes, then press the Power key to select. When the process is complete, the Reboot system now is highlighted. Press the Power key to restart the device.

Have you been keeping up with optimiztions? You should put your phone on auto optimize and schedule it to restart at least once a week.

My phone is having this exact issue! I tried wiping the cache partition and it did not help when it restarted I went into the apps they still had caches and when I tried to clear it nothing happens or the amount barely changes. I wonder if it has something to do with the software update that my phone did on Thursday.

Clearing the system cache did not do anything for me either. Same as you, I noticed this after the last update.

Can't help but think this may eventually cause issues with apps. Seeing as how I am pretty much unable to wipe the app caches, etc.

My Galaxy S22 just started doing this today. I tried to clear cache on most of my apps & it either deleted a small amount of cache, or none at all. I've checked all the upgrades, updates, device care, rebooting, etc. & nothing changed. This kind of thing always seems to happen right after doing app update(s).
