Pressing "View motion photo" makes the photo frames play but not appear as in previous releases. To see the individual frames below as previously, simply press and hold and then release the slightly enlarged video frame below the motion in the "View motion photo" button and the individual frames will appear and will start playing through so you can select an individual frame to copy. No need to press the "View motion photo" button. There is no need to change any system settings or turn off Scene optimizer... It simply works.
