Galaxy S22I have been having issues with my S22 ultra since the update a few months ago even after factory reset. Several times a day my phone would freeze and window would pop up saying "the system UI is not responding" I took it in to a the store 3 days ago and she told me that there will be another update that might fix the issues. I received the update yesterday. My phone has not tuned back on since. Went into the store this morning and left it with a tech. I got the call my phone is bricked and they won't be able to repair it. Luckily I had a protection plan on it and will be getting a replacement phone tomorrow. Samsung really needs to address this issue and fix it. For those that don't have a protection plan they'd have to buy a new phone. We shouldn't have to be forced to buy a new phone or be roped into another contract and payments when the issue is clearly not the fault of the user.

Galaxy S22What I was told by by my carrier is that my phone was "Hard Bricked" by an update that involved the bootloader and that it was a common problem with the S22.
"Soft Brick" phone can be repaired by flashing the firmware/operating system.
A soft brick is a software issue that prevents a phone from booting, often fixable by reflashing the ROM or recovery, while a hard brick is a more severe hardware or software issue that renders the phone completely unresponsive and unbootable, potentially requiring specialized repair or replacement.
