Wifi calling

This might be a dumb question. But when my iPhone was locked to a carrier it said carrier wifi calling. But when I started using unlocked phones my note 20 and s22 plus if I have wifi calling on it doesn't say carrier wifi calling. My friend has a t mobile locked s22 plus and I saw t mobile wifi calling. Is that indicator only on locked phones or carrier locked phones

It doesn't matter, my phone is unlocked and wifi calling is active. I use it for international calls

I'm used to seeing it. Like in my case it should say cricket wifi calling where on the lock screen you see the carrier

I think what you see is determined by your carrier, not the device.

Verizon had it and like I said my friends carrier locked has it
My unlocked devices don't show it

I'm on cricket and it doesn't say it when I have wifi calling on
It didn't say it with Google fi either

Well Google fi sucks in general it wasn't worth the money. I don't normally use wifi calling but I noticed it when I switched from them it was gone
When I had an iPhone and Verizon it said it
Iphone and t mobile it didn't
Who knows anymore

Hello Yamialex224, thank you for reaching out. I understand the frustration with Wi-Fi calling. As notforhire mentioned above, Wi-Fi calling can be determined by your carrier. Also this feature may not be available on call carriers or devices. Wi-Ficalling settings may vary depending on carrier.
