In the last few days when I pair my Bluetooth headset to my phone I don't hear any audio. The devices are paired, the volume is on max and the application (e.g. Spotify) shows it's connected to the headset audio. But I can't hear anything. Restarting the BT device doesn't help. The only thin that helps is phone restart. Then it works well once. After connect-disconnects, again the audio can't be heard until next reset. I checked with a few BT devices and with different phones.
I suspect the latest software update from a week ago has some bug...?

Galaxy S23Have you tried the headset on a different device? Have you tried a different headset/earbuds/BT speaker on the phone? If the headset does not work on another device, it's the headset. If no other BT audio output works with the phone, it's the phone.
