Possible fake warning... help please

Hello friends.  I started getting a notification that stops the other apps and says 

WARNING 

Detected a large amount of useless junk on

your system, click to clean automatically

I ran TotalAV and it didn't even help. Any suggestions?

Was this a pop up on a site or just random notice

It's random but stops whatever apps I'm using. Waze for example.... it stops completely and when I either say clear or ignore then wake resumes

Yes, That's is most likely a fake warning pop-up. Do not click on those. You shouldn't be getting fake pop-ups randomly like that anyway. You should check if there is adware and / or malware on your device that are causing those. Similar pop-ups are known to install viruses and malware onto your device.
