Remove the Screen rotation button

Does anyone know how to get rid of the gloating screen rotation button? It has switched between bottom left to upper right of my screen and everything I accidentally touch it it send my screen to landscape move and locks it.

On your home screen, press and hold empty space >> Settings >> turn off 'Rotate to landscape mode'

Yeah I had tried that and it wouldn't go away until I restarted my phone. Thank you!
