Samsung has got rid of RCS

I cannot believe that Samsung has gotten rid of RCS

And wants us to go to the Google Messenger again. 

Who else is worried about unencrypted text messages.

It's not that I sent anything naughty, it's about stuff we talked about which is personal, and now that stuff is not even security anymore. 

Shame on Samsung.

Just disable Google Message App and put to sleep and you will see how message on samsung put a little blue dot in profile pictures it will tell you RCS is activated by default by carrier

Samsung Messages I seeing discontinued because of RCS. @WhiteShack mentioned that Android is Google's property. Are you serious that you don't know that? People have already talked about this.

Help me out here, I never liked Samsung messages, I liked Google till you couldn't change the font and customization is awful, so, I switched to textra and I have no problems, what is so important about rcs and why is Google considered the best? Originally it was my understanding that rcs was important if you were texting between 2 Androids, not Android to Apple.

RCS is not necessary to send messages.  It is just a better way of doing so.  Your messages are end-to-end encrypted and you can send bigger and higher resolution photos and videos.  For just basic texting, you don't need RCS unless you want the extra security against electronic eavesdropping.  Eventually, as RCS becomes more widespread, the carriers will probably eliminate SMS the same way they discontinued the original phone call bands.
