Galaxy S23
Hello all, I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this issue. After updating to One UI 6.1.1 on my Samsung Galaxy S23 Utra, I noticed that the sound from my phone noticeably came out worse in comparison to before updating to One Ui 6.1.1, either in phone-speaker mode or output mode like Bluetooth or Headphones. I can describe the sound as muddy, tiny with less clarity and bass. I've tried every setup in the equalizer, turning Dolby Atmos on and off... everything but none of those helped. This really affects my overall experience and honestly leads to big disappointment. For now, I encourage users who are having the same issue to report it to Samsung as soon as possible so that they can address this issue and fix it in the next update. Thank you!

So first off this same exact thing happened when I had the S20 ultra. Literally was the most amazing sound ever from a phone when new then every update it went lower and muddier. The S23 ultra brand new didn't ever match the volume of the S20u, and the balance was way off. I've heard people make the case of them not wanting people to blow their ear out by picking the phone up to their ear when full volume, but i think it's more likely a gradual deprecation steering people to replace with the newer phones. I remember when I could crank my S20u and I could literally hear it all over the house. The s23u was never that loud and now with the latest update i can't even go for a walk and hear music / audiobook etc without earphones. I know most people want to use earphones, but I often want to just hear the sound from the phone speakers. And honestly sometimes I just want an instant party!! But now it's only in "acceptable" range if you are in a quiet room now and that's about the extent of it. Gone are the days when I could literally turn it up. I've installed and set all the settings with sound assistant and even tried volume booster which is "Ok" up to 125% boost but gets unbearably muddier beyond that. Please Samsung.. fix the volume/sound issues. It's unfair when many of us use our phones now as our music library. Also should mention that the issues carry over to Bluetooth devices that used to blast tunes on desire.. not anymore. It's all being governed now.
