I just wanted to share my experience with trying to use Samsung Cloud backup. I think I enabled Enhanced Data Protection encryption on my last device S22Ultra and for the life of me I couldn't remember where I put the recovery code. Anyway.... I got the new S24Ultra a few weeks ago and I couldn't be happier. I wanted to use my Samsung Cloud backup to have that extra backup protection but every time went to the Samsung Cloud app and clicked on backup I was prompted to confirm my EDP recovery code key. I didn't have it anymore and that's when I started searching for answers. There was a link at the bottom of the EDP page and that was not helpful at all. Google searches brought me to some forums and they said to submit an inquiry to Samsung but I got no response. I then went to contact Samsung by text. Those guys didn't know anything about what I was experiencing. Even after sending them this picture they couldn't understand why I was getting prompt this. They did a remote desktop and when they tried to visit the EDP screen they couldn't see it. I'm sure it was a security feature that they couldn't view it. This whole conversation with Samsung Cloud agent could hours and I eventually told them to reset my cloud account. I didn't have anything on it anyway. They couldn't give me a straight answer and eventually told me they couldn't reset my account. I ended up hanging up on them and found my own way. I ended up disconnecting my Google account from my Samsung account and then I deleted my Samsung account. I logged back in and reassociated my Google account to my new Samsung account. Everything was wiped clean on my Samsung account and I was able to backup everything I wanted. My main concern really was being able to use my same Google account which I was able to do.  20240812_145310.jpg
