I am very disturbed with the Google Messaging switch. I tried it & it does NOT compare to Samsung Messaging! The RCS feature is not needed. Sure one can send emoji responses on a message like iPhone but if that's what one desires, GET AN IPHONE! It only works when the receiving party uses the same RCS feature on their Android phone anyway. The overall features on the Samsung Messaging app has way more personal customization features that make each & every chat/group more visible & organized. I will stick with Samsung Messaging until forced to switch on ALL platforms.
Why? Why would Samsung discontinue its messaging platform for Google? Google sucks. Period. And I do not want to be FORCED to use it. I liked Samsung because of all of the OPTIONS. It feels like Samsung is turning into Apple pinching everything out and forcing everything INSTEAD of understanding what the USER wants. I'm genuinely looking for something else now. I liked Samsung because it gave me choices, if I'm going to be forced.. I'll leave.
Yes, a very important question. Nothing is wrong with Samsung Messages, even though they could just keep it as an option for a lot of people who prefer to use it.
Exactly. Samsung Messages has been working just fine. Most of us want to keep using that app.
Nothing is stopping Samsung from investing time and money to ensure their users are happy by making sure the Samsung Messages app remains active and reliable.
I switched to Google Messaging after getting this announcement, but found it very annoying to have to download yet another app on my phone. In some ways, I find Google Messaging better, but not enough to warrant being forced to download another app. I really don't want anymore apps, am tired of everything I want to do, requires another app download, and just wish there was a single app that covers EVERYTHING, so I can stop the "app bombardment" that big business has "dumped" on us.
