Google msg REPLY option

Hello. I was able to reply to a specific messages in Google messaging. As of recent, that option is not available. I've searched all over Google and can't find a fix for it. Has anyone else had this problem and able to correct?

What do you mean?  Usually, you get a message, you can respond to a message. Please explain what is happening.

When you hold down a specific message to get to Smart replies such as emojis, there used to be the option to reply to the specific message. This helps when there is a long thread of messages and you want to respond to only one.

Should be settings at top right little tag thing than about half way down is suggestions
