My camera on teams, whatsapp and zoom glitches and always show background as green. I've tried uninstall the whstsapp and reset cache on both camera and whatsaapp but nothing worked

What all options ice tried:

1. Disable any third-party camera or filter apps that might interfere with the default camera functionality. Go to Settings > Apps > Camera, select "Force Stop," and then disable any suspicious apps.

2. Check if the problem occurs with multiple applications or just one specific application. Try testing with alternative meeting apps to determine if the issue is isolated to a particular platform.

3. 1. Power the device off.

3.2. Press and hold the Volume up, and Power button.

3.3. Continue holding the buttons even if the Samsung logo appears. The Android system recovery menu will appear if this was performed correctly.

3.4. Press the Volume Up or Down button to select wipe cache partition, and then press the Power button to make your selection.

Please perform the above steps to wipe the cache partition. It will not erase any data on the phone.
 3.4.1. Power the device off.

3.4.2. Press and hold the Volume up, and Power button.

3.4.3. Continue holding the buttons even if the Samsung logo appears. The Android system recovery menu will appear if this was performed correctly.

3.4.4. Press the Volume Up or Down button to select wipe cache partition, and then press the Power button to make your selection.

The issue of a green background in all meeting platforms on a Samsung Galaxy S24 could be related to a software glitch, a camera processing issue, or an incorrect setting. Here are some potential fixes:

Fixes for Green Background Issue:

Disable Hardware Acceleration (if available)

Some apps like Zoom, Teams, or WhatsApp may have hardware acceleration settings. Try disabling them in the app settings.

Check for Software Updates

Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install to ensure your phone is running the latest software version.

Reset Camera Settings

Open the Camera app > Go to Settings > Scroll down and tap Reset settings.

Try a Different Camera Mode

Switch to a different mode in your camera app and see if the green background persists.

Clear Cache & Data for Affected Apps

Go to Settings > Apps > (Select the app, e.g., Zoom, WhatsApp, or Teams) > Storage & cache > Clear cache. If the issue persists, try Clear data (this will reset app settings, so be cautious).

Check for Camera Permissions & Conflicts

Go to Settings > Apps > Permissions > Camera and ensure no app is interfering with camera usage.

Test Camera in Safe Mode

Restart your phone in Safe Mode (Press and hold the Power button > Long-press Power Off until you see "Safe Mode" > Tap to restart in Safe Mode). Open a meeting app and check if the issue remains. If the problem disappears, a third-party app may be causing the issue.

Factory Reset (Last Resort)

If nothing works, you may need to Factory Reset your phone (Settings > General Management > Reset > Factory Data Reset). Back up your data before doing this.

Let me know if any of these solutions help!

@xlesueue,

Thanks for your Inputs, I don't see hardware acceleration in the settings and I am not interested in trying out factory reset as I'm afraid of performing the settings all over again.
