Hope this is easy.  Have had hearing aids for 2yrs.  ALWAYS, phone calls (ring and talking) and notifications came through my phone.  In the past month calls and notifications come through my hearing aids.  HATE THAT.  I've changed no settings.  How do I get calls and notifications through my phone?  Hearing Aid company says their app doesn't control that.

@RequiredUsername I'm assuming that your hearing aids are connected to your phone via Bluetooth. Try this:

  1. Open phone settings
  2. Click on Connections
  3. Click on Bluetooth
  4. Find the hear aid entry and click on the gear on the right edge of the screen.
  5. Turn off the Calls option and any other ones that you don't want to use.

I have no "calls Option."

My choices are Left/right hearing aids - On/off

"Adjust volume separately " - Left/Right

@RequiredUsername It sounds like you checked the normal audio controls which would provide that information to the app.

When you talked to the hearing aid company, did you talk to the developers? or first level support team? I think that you might have to get on a call with them so that they can troubleshoot with you.

If you do want to check Samsung support, for immediate assistance, one option is to use the Samsung Members app -> Support -> Send text. This will open up live troubleshooting.

Another option is to contact Samsung support via https://www.samsung.com/us/support/contact/

Lastly you can submit a bug report via the Samsung Members app -> Support -> Send feedback.

You can download Good Lock's Sound Assistant.  Once downloaded, open the sound assistant app, scroll to advanced settings, tap it and then tap "alerts through headphones" and turn off all the sliders.  All your alerts will sound on the  phone but not your hearing aids.  (it says headphones, but that should include BT hearing aids).  You will still be able to use your hearing aids for phone calls, it just won't ring in your ears. Also, check your accessibility settings/hearing enhancements and make sure the hearing aid support settings are correct

Sound asst - disabled Ringtone, Alarm, Notifications.  Notifications, phone rings, voices,  still come through hearing aids.

Accessibility>Hearing Enhancements>Left/Right Sound Balance shows "Not Used for Calls."

I am actually surprised your hearing aid app does not have a setting to not have the ring tones and notifications come through the aids.  Not everyone is totally deaf that they need the sounds to come through the aids.  The only other thing I can suggest, is to lower the volume for the ringtone and notification sounds so they are not jarring.  It should not affect call volume as that, I believe is controlled during the phone call.

You can create a routine that may work, you would have to experiment. You can try:

if: connected to BT device (hearing aids)

then: separate app sound and choose all apps, for the notifications to come out of the phone, rather than the BT device. I am unsure if including the phone in that parameter, though, have the actual calls coming out of the phone.  I can't test because I do not wear hearing aids (yet).

I have this issue too. Got brand new left hearing aid. Instructions online from Google searching say that I can simply turn it off in the hearing aid accessibility settings, but they're simply not there!! Others say "try Bluetooth settings". Well, for my wireless headphones, I can turn off and on what the headphones receive! But when I look at the gear options menu for the hearing aid in Bluetooth, i mysteriously dont have those options! I can only adjust volume. So angry
