How do I forward a text messages

I'm using Google Messages (but think the same holds true for Samsung Messages which I used to use) - open the message thread, long hold on the message you want to forward so that it gets highlighted, then click on the 3 dots in the upper right and select "forward".

There aren't any 3 dots for options... I've ALWAYS used Android phones so I'm accustomed to using that...but they aren't visible on my husband's phone!

There is no "Forward" option when I hit the "3-dots"

Hey Samsung Community,

To forward a text message in Google Messages or Samsung Messages, open the conversation, press and hold the message you want to send, then tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner and choose “Forward.” After that, select the contact you want to send it to and hit send.
