How to remove virus on my samsung

There's many options how did you determine you have a virus

Try doing a scan of the phone by going to settings/Device care/App protection if it is not on turn it on and tap scan phone. Not sure how much of the phone is scanned or if just the apps are scanned.

I am not sure that's anti-virus

It scans for malware, it's powered by McAfee. Whether it scans for viruses besides I am unsure, I thought it is supposed to.

Also, the phone has Knox, I thought that was not only for security of the phone but for virus protection besides. I am not all that tech savvy and thought the security updates were for securing the phone not only against hacking but for viruses also.

I have Play Store set to scan apps that I download. I also don't open links from texts and emails. Does one really need to go as far as downloading one of those free antivirus apps?

Knox is not a anti-virus program and Google play store app scans i wouldn't call anti-virus i don't know where you got mcafee from on being on the phone certainly not in device care you might be referred the auto blocker app
