Galaxy S24Do you have notification categories turned on? You have to have them turned on. Go to settings/notifications/advanced settings, manage notification categories for each app and then return to the app notification settings and tap the notification categories text and enable/disable/set a custom sound for the notifications you want. For some reason, recent updates have been causing the default to not have the categories on.

Galaxy S24Yeah, it should not be off by default. It has become a ritual with me to make that the first setting I check after an update, as major updates tend to put it back to the default. What makes it even worse, is that many people do not even know that setting exists, as there is nothing about it in the tips and tricks of the "manual".
