I just got the new S24+. I've tried sending a text message but I get a message saying "message will send when service is available". My wifi is on and I am pretty sure I set Messages as my default. Any ideas?

sounds like you don't have a cellular signal, since messages normally go over the cellular network

Report this problem to your carrier. They are responsible for your messaging working properly.

When my fiance texts me I should be able to know it's him by hearing a custom tone I assign to his number, just like the good old days.  Gen X here a bit sad, very sad and frustrated that options is gonzo on my S24.  Tried Google Messages and Samsung Messages app. Nothing!  Can I get another msg app instead?
