The routines I have set up will not work now. I have cleared data and cache then restarted the phone. I even tried uninstalling updates. The app takes forever to stop the spinning dots so that I can even select anything. Once it does, I select a mode and I can't scroll or select anything. If I try to set up routines, there are no options for "if" or "then" and if I try to search for one, nothing shows up. Is there any way to fix this?

Hello everyone, thank you for your feedback. We have identified a situation on some devices where the Modes and Routines app, along with its automation function, fails to execute properly because of compatibility problems between apps. To resolve this, we are working on an update version of the โ€˜Modes and Routinesโ€™ app to improve this situation, so please make sure to keep your deviceโ€™s app version up to date.

The update will be rolled out gradually. The schedule and version number are subject to change and may differ depending on your region or carrier.

My Modes and Routines app has not worked for the past few days now. I tried clearing the app data and cache, and it still doesn't work. It acts like it's trying to load (you'll see in the screenshot what I mean.) Is there anything else I can try?

I just purchased a galaxy watch 7. Ive been using sleep mode (with sync on) so I can wear it while I sleep and record my health data. I have spent the last 30 minutes trying to edit/add routines for sleep. I can activate sleep mode manually via the watch or phone just fine. But I cant edit it via the phone AT ALL. When I go into Modes & Routines, it stays loading for 30-90 seconds. When I click "sleep" it opens, and then I cannot click anything on the screen. It's frozen. I can atill access my drop down bar. My home, back, and app buttons still work, just nothing on the sleep routine screen.

I'm trying to create a routine so when my watch turns on to sleep automatically at night, it will swap watch faces, always on display turns off, and any notifications etc.

I just can't edit it at all. Screen stays frozen.

I have force stopped. Clear cache. And deleted data to total reset the modes & Routines app itself and it has not fixed it.
I have reset both watch and phone, and still is frozen. It seems people have posted in reviews about this, just wanted to echo/add to it.

I have an s24 Ultra. 1 year old this month.

This sounds frustrating โ€” and youโ€™ve already tried all the usual fixes (cache/data clear, reset, etc.). Since others have reported it too, it might be a bug in the current version of the Modes & Routines app.
One thing you can try is making sure both your watch and phone are on the latest firmware and app versions (sometimes Samsung pushes quick patches for these issues). You could also try using Good Lockโ€™s Routines+ module as a temporary workaround โ€” it sometimes allows more reliable automation when the stock app is buggy.
Might be worth reporting through the Samsung Members app too, so they can escalate it โ€” they usually request logs and can get the issue in front of the dev team faster.
