Sometimes, when I'm in an app and turn off my phone, the navigation bar just disappears. I can't get out of the app and sometimes the screen just freezes. I have to restart the phone for it to work again. Anyone know any sort of fix or cause?

For a Samsung Galaxy S24, you can try the following solutions to resolve the issue of the disappearing navigation bar and screen freezing. Had encountered similar issue as a QA at Finoit and was able to resolve it comfortably with the following:

1. Restart in Safe Mode

  • Fix: Boot your Galaxy S24 in Safe Mode to determine if a third-party app is causing the problem.
  1. Turn off your phone.
  2. Hold the Power button until the Samsung logo appears.
  3. Once the logo appears, release the Power button and hold the Volume Down buttons
  4. "Safe Mode" will appear at the bottom left of the screen.
  • Use the phone in Safe Mode for a while and see if the issue persists. If it doesnā€™t, then a third-party app may be the cause.

2. Reset System Settings

  • Fix: Reset system settings related to navigation and the user interface.
    1. Go to Settings > General management.
    2. Tap Reset > Reset all settings.
    3. This wonā€™t erase your data but will reset system settings like Wi-Fi and permissions, which may help resolve UI glitches.
