Galaxy S24My ondrive account used to backup my photos, which was perfect.
I've had my s24 ultra for a while and recently my one drive has stopped backing up my photos and instead only shows the option of sanusung sync.
I do not want this.
I have gone through a the steps to unlink accounts, etc that is advised to remove the Samsung sync, which works for about ten minutes before Samsung sync overrides the camera backup in one drive once again.
This is beyond ridiculous. If this can't be resolved I will get rid of my Samsung phone and buy something that let's me choose how I use my one drive app, which I pay for and have had for MANY years.
Please can someone advise on how to stop the Samsung sync taking over.

Galaxy S24To turn on OneDrive sync go to gallery settings and it should be at the top of the settings list. Make sure you have enough storage in your OneDrive account.

Galaxy S24The OP stated that they do not want the gallery *synced* with OneDrive, but backed up. There is a difference. Syncing means that when you delete a photo from one location, it deletes if from the other, unlike the Google Photos backup, which will keep a backup photo in Google if you delete from the Gallery but delete it from both locations if you delete it directly from Google. Because I have the A54, which still has an SD card, I have the option to sync the gallery to OneDrive or simply back up selected folders on my SD card to OneDrive. I chose the backup.

Galaxy S24That is exactly what my post was about. I cannot stomach that Samsung have removed or overriden my ability to utilise a third party backup that I pay for with something that I do not want and that isn't even a backup.
If there's no solution then my s24 is gone.
Thanks for the reply.

Galaxy S24I am looking at my s24 plus one drive settings right now and the option for camera backup has been replaced with Samsung sync. It is doing it every time after I follow the steps to remove the Samsung linkninnmocrosdt and also the one drive and Microsoft account links on my Samsung device.
For ten minutes I haver the option of camera backup on one drive, like I have had for the last decade or so, and then it is replaced, without my consent or action from me, by the Samsung sync.
I am considering replacing my Samsung phone after using them since 2008. This so big of a deal breaker for me that I am lost for words. I have close to a terrabyte of date on my one drive account, which I pay for, and this sync started its own uploading of the same data and I have read horror stories of the original data being jumbled up because of the is Samsung override.
I am desperate for a solution because this is it for Samsung phones if I can't.
I appreciate the reply.

Galaxy S24Mine is switched off, but Samsung sync is replacing the camera backup option on the one drive app. I remove the linked account to one drive and the camera backup option is available, but only for a few minutes when the Samsung sync overrides once again and I have no option avaliable on one drive other than Samsung sync. I've tried everything I can find online and it all leads to samunsg sync overriding one drive.
Appreciate the reply.
