No worries, I completely understand. Phones will actually shut down if they overheat for protection, so it's not something that is going to hurt the device. If you think about a PC and how hot they get and they can last for years, it just alludes to the normalcy of heat. Phones have heat chambers, etc., to try to keep down the heat that we feel, but they can actually tolerate quite high heat, especially if it's only once in a while. But do not worry, your phone should be good to go for years.
