Galaxy S24If you use gesture hint (white line; hate it really) the icons look okay, coz the distance is normal. But if I remove the hint we get the gap. Icons should move down.

Galaxy S24I know most people want to use/keep the One UI Home.
But you can remove that gap ( and change many other things) by using a third party app like Nova Launcher.

Galaxy S24The reason for the gap is there are different screen partitions. Some people actually prefer to use the navigation bar instead of gestures and Samsung Pay. It's also there so those that use gestures won't keep opening the quick launch apps. YouSheesh, the things people are discontented about.

Galaxy S24It's not the reason at all. If some people like start you said I can say vice-versa that some people want different.
