I have the s24 Ultra.
Samsung voice recorder: when I plug in a usb-c (mic or DAW) into the port to record audio the phone thinks im using headphones and records using the speaker only.
Also tried with the Bandcamp and Cubase apps and the same situation occurred. It would be great to record a track directly in the studio apps available in the play store. The only option I could find was to use the camera app and that's a ridiculous feat to record in a separate app, hope your keeping time because you can't listen to it while recording, save, trim out the audio, paste it in the track you need it to be trying to line up your track with what's recorded in the music app. Yikes.
Has to be operator error 😂 It must work somehow, everyone else is doing it.
If someone would be kind enough to guide me to docs on how to set up a usb mic to record only through the usb port that would be awesomeness. ✌️

Try it with your phone plugged in to a laptop. It should give you the ability to choose what you want to happen "thru" your usb... maybe?

Yeah, I'd imagine one could runa developer mode connect to a computer and use ADB to (maybe) create custom audio routing using an "if" statement or some other logic.
MWe have been afforeded7 the "simple" option when hot plugging USB, "use as charging or use as data". It just seems counterintuitive, at least for my use case.
Im looking for the mobility and efficiency of being able to go from a thought in my head to a recorded guitar track in the time it takes to pick up my guitar and plug it in. Then share it with my peeps and move on, while Johnny is still waiting for his PC to finish booting, change all the audio routing from live streaming to ableton, while its plug ins are loading, etc..Then change my settings back to a different channel so I can chat on Discord. There are apps that allow you to record with your phone like Bandlab, DAWs and such as well that charge a hefty tag so there has to be something and pre-made and available. I see most devices are geared toward iPhone and not many for android (that work) 🤔. I must be missing something. I bought a Focusrite Scarlett (daw/ interface) for $100+ and it just will not work correctly. So last night I spent $20 on a headphone and instrument input to usb-c so hoping that works.lol. Looks cheapish but if it gets the job done until I figure out the trade secret im missing 😂. Content creator's are constantly streaming with phones so the ability is there but I just can't find it. Thank you btw for your comment . Very much appreciated. 😊
