S24 Ultra Camera Quality Feedback

As many of us are experiencing these camera issues where the post processing ruins images taken by making them grainy or too saturated. I found temporarily that using the camera in safe mode and airplane mode gave me way better results when using the camera . Hopefully they fix this soon

UPDATE

Turns out my camera issue is a hardware issue. I spoke to representative and there are no updates coming for the camera, only for the screen issues. I will return mine an get a new device. Seems I got a early model that was part of a bad batch. 

Update: got my replacement device today NIGHT AND DAY DIFFERENCE. now this is what the s24 ultra is supposed to be. WOW I can't believe the difference. The screen for sure is way brighter and more colorful and the camera is amazing and no issues with post processing ruining images. If anything it just makes them way better. I can't believe what a difference there is between the devices

That's ridiculous! Charging a fee for a return. Mainly when a device doesn't perform the way it was advertised.
Good luck; I hope fixes are rolled out before then. 50$ is a lot of money to lose when it's not your fault.

Restocking fees are illegal in Hawaii. But not in the States. Go figure that. However, you might be able to wave the fee if you get another phone of equal value. If that's the case, I might consider getting the iPhone 15 pro max.

My son has that phone and loves it. I recently watched a video on the S24 Ultra versus the iPhone Pro Max camera, and they were pretty comparable. And, of course, the Pro Max had some better features, and then vice versa, the Samsung S24 Ultra did also.
I hope it all works out for you the same way I hope it does for all these s24 Ultra buyers. Especially for the ones who sent their phone in for trade in and then can't get it back. Take care

Yes it would be fair to customers and wise of Samsung to do so... I am sure they will so watch the calendar and hope for the best, otherwise as you stayed there will be an avalanche of returns.

I spent an hour with tech today and even through she could see the problem happen in real time (oversaturation in low light, unable to focus at a micro level and the processing changing the photo into something unrecognizable from the original photo right in front of our eyes), there was nothing she could do to fix.  They aren't admitting there's any problem as of yet, which doesn't give me hope this will be fixed anytime soon.

Patience, Samsung will fix these concerns, after all they are Samsung.

As someone who went from a base S22, this is the best upgrade. In my experience, the ultra is the best phone I've ever owned. The camera DOES have some weird issues, but you just need to set the right settings, I've almost polished mine out. I never had this video issue, tho.

Yes, but for a high-end phone that costs $1600, you shouldn't need to be "polishing" anything out to make it work better. The software should be perfected before it's released to the public.
