Samsung Edited Photos not showing up in results

I'm trying to edit a photo to turn it sideways. But the amended photo is not showing up in the results for apps like Gmail or Partiful.

There maybe a way to do this in Android with Samsung Gallery app. What I have done is download the photos to my pc then have Windows photo app turn the photo to the position I wanted and save the photo. Now when sending the photo by email attachment or posting the photo in a forum the photo is right side up not sideways or up side down.
