Galaxy S24For the purpose of RCS and they are no longer supporting the app. My guess it is cheaper to go the route of using an existing app rather then research and development to keep it going and Google is the only RCS messaging app I know of currently. It could also be that Google owns RCS and instead of paying fees to Google to keep using it in Samsung's app it was maybe cheaper just to use their app. Even Verizon dropped Message+(I think it was called) for Google also.
Also, I think Gemini will remain free but there will be a pro option for a fee. You might be thinking of Galaxy AI, sounds like Samsung will add fees for this end of the year or next year. I will live without it if that is the case as I hardly use the AI features.
