When searching from home and scrolling up on the homepage to get the search bar to pop up the keyboard does not come up automatically. I have to take my other hand and stick my finger all the way at the top of the phone to get the keyboard to pop up because of how the phone is so big. I don't know how a launcher can get the keyboard to pop up on the phone but Samsung cannot change this option or the option where they updated the shutter sound for the screenshots and not be able to turn off. These things people notice automatically because it is not happening and then all of a sudden it's happening. I don't understand how everybody is explaining what they want on this forum but nothing is changing on the device itself except for when millions of people say something

Punctuation is a good thing.  People will better understand what you are saying.  In any case, the keyboard is not necessary to pop up unless one is actually going to search.  Not everyone who opens the app drawer wants the keyboard in the way if they are not going to search - most of us know what "page" the app we want is on (especially if the apps are sorted alphabetically). Therefore, it makes sense for it not to pop up automatically. I, for one, would find it unbearably annoying for the keyboard to pop up when I don't need it.  If you don't want to hear the shutter sound for the screenshots, just turn the volume down for the system sounds.

Don't lie to yourself. Everybody wants a keyboard to pop up there's no reason to go into that section if you're not going to search your phone system for an app. You guys are something else I don't know who you are or where you're from and why your commenting on my post but you are wrong and will always be wrong. Everybody in America I don't know where you are has an iPhone and when they search their phone by scrolling up the keyboard pops up. It is so embedded into every Americans head to the keyboard will pop up that they don't even understand that it's not there on Samsung because they have to use two hands no matter what if they have an ultra

Then get yourself an iPhone if you want the automatic pop-up.  Everyone in America does NOT have an iPhone--You obviously don't have one or you wouldn't be whining here. I have never had one and will never have one. And the keyboard popping up for the app drawer is not a selling point for one.  In fact, I have never had a phone where the keyboard popped up when opening the app drawer.  I have only ever had Android phones, though not always Samsung phones.  If you can't find your apps without searching for them, that's a you problem.  It actually takes less time to scroll the app drawer than type a search term.

I am not lying to myself.  You seem to overestimate the desire of other people.  Over time, I've only seen one or two requests for this feature.  There actually is a reason to go to the app drawer without needing to search.  Most people put their frequently used apps on their home screen(s) for easy access, grouped the way they like.  Apps they may not use very often, they keep in the app drawer where they can access them when they need to.  There is no need to search for an app unless: a) one does not have the apps sorted in alphabetical order, or b) the app is hidden.  As you have noted, the keyboard comes up when you tap the search box, which is as it should be.  Boo Hoo, you have to stretch your tiny finger to the top of the screen to hit the search box.
