Galaxy S24Punctuation is a good thing. People will better understand what you are saying. In any case, the keyboard is not necessary to pop up unless one is actually going to search. Not everyone who opens the app drawer wants the keyboard in the way if they are not going to search - most of us know what "page" the app we want is on (especially if the apps are sorted alphabetically). Therefore, it makes sense for it not to pop up automatically. I, for one, would find it unbearably annoying for the keyboard to pop up when I don't need it. If you don't want to hear the shutter sound for the screenshots, just turn the volume down for the system sounds.

Galaxy S24Then get yourself an iPhone if you want the automatic pop-up. Everyone in America does NOT have an iPhone--You obviously don't have one or you wouldn't be whining here. I have never had one and will never have one. And the keyboard popping up for the app drawer is not a selling point for one. In fact, I have never had a phone where the keyboard popped up when opening the app drawer. I have only ever had Android phones, though not always Samsung phones. If you can't find your apps without searching for them, that's a you problem. It actually takes less time to scroll the app drawer than type a search term.

Galaxy S24I am not lying to myself. You seem to overestimate the desire of other people. Over time, I've only seen one or two requests for this feature. There actually is a reason to go to the app drawer without needing to search. Most people put their frequently used apps on their home screen(s) for easy access, grouped the way they like. Apps they may not use very often, they keep in the app drawer where they can access them when they need to. There is no need to search for an app unless: a) one does not have the apps sorted in alphabetical order, or b) the app is hidden. As you have noted, the keyboard comes up when you tap the search box, which is as it should be. Boo Hoo, you have to stretch your tiny finger to the top of the screen to hit the search box.
