Sim Card Security

Sim card security option is not available on my S24 plus phone. I have a physical sim card with Xfinity mobile. Is sim card security available for only certain mobile service providers?

Hi. I have the same phone through AT&T. My SIM security settings are found through connections, SIM manager, more SIM settings, then SIM card security is there. Yours isn't at all?

I had tried that path and under more SIM settings, there is only screen lock protection options to lock eSim settings and none for a physical SIM card.
I've also gone the route of Settings -> Security and Privacy -> More Security Settings, and found no options for SIM card security there either.

I have Verizon and the ability to have a pin on my SIM card.

That's odd. You may have to contact Xfinity. What about just doing a search at the top of your phone settings. Maybe it's in some weird obscure place. Odd that your phone wouldn't have it. I'd think that should be standard.

Thanks for your suggestions. I thought it would have been a standard option also, or at minimum, just grayed out if it wasn't available for selection.

Sorry I wasn't more help. I have an esim and even have the security section. Try Xfinity. Hopefully they can help. Or maybe someone that may know will still chime in.

I don't think that's a carrier function, I believe it's baked into the phone.  I could be wrong, I don't use it; but it is there in my settings (T-Mobile).  It's in SIM manager/more SIM settings. It should be there and, if not available to you, greyed out. The carrier does have the ability to disable it.  But, my phone is factory unlocked. If your phone is carrier locked to Xfinity, they could very well have taken that setting out.

Yes it's q carrier function and no it's not.baked into the phone.

I'm running 6.1.1 on my s24 ultra dev edition and it's set so carriers can lock / unlock it as they wish.
