They heard you, Samsung has brought back the ability to hide your Navigation Bar and Swipe Gestures.

You will have to download Goodlock and specially NavStar once installed toggled on NavStar, Enable extra gesture settings.

Go to settings. Display, navigation, show more, have fun again.

Ps. If you already have both apps and you are not seeing those options, Open Goodlick again scroll to NavStar, tap on the more, go to store, there will be an update waiting. For some reason it isn't showing up in updates

You can restore this functionality by downloading Good Lock, and its addon NavStar (v6.1.05.33 or above).  Once installed, go into NavStar and turn on Enable extra gesture settings.  then go into:
Settings | Display | Navigation Bar | More Options

Your settings that you had on the S22 Ultra will be in here.

I know it is annoying to have to install something to get the functionality you are used to back, but Samsung removed this to be more consistent with base Android 14.

But the Good Lock Apps are worth having anyway for maximum customizing options on Galaxy phones. A couple lesser known but important apps in the Good Lock set are Nice Lock and Nice Lock Companion. They allow quick links to direct download sources for the rest while maintaining updates. Available on XDA Forums. Search for Good Lock, Nice Lock, and Nice Lock Companion. Open Nice Lock Companion and download the rest from there.

On the galaxy s23 ultra when we use the swipe gestures we had more options to choose like 1 options swipe from bottom
Options 2 swipe from sides and bottom
Now on the galaxy s24 ultra we only havr swipe from sides and bottom & it make it hard to get back to the screen or view recent apps especially when the wallet is enabled

Search for previous posts about using GoodLock and NavStar. It brings back all the swipe gestures. I've not tried it because my swipe settings seem to have transferred from my S10+ and I'm very happy with them. Good luck!

Galaxy store>install goodlock>open goodlock>install navstar module>open navstar> tap "enable extra gesture settings" which will restore the old navigation gestures in the settings menu. Once you've done this, settings>display>navigation bar>swipe gestures>more options

Goodlock is an official first party samsung customization app, so you aren't using some unknown 3rd party. It's a lot of steps, but Google has completely removed alternate gesture options from Android and Samsung is the only oem that offers an alternative even if it has a bunch of steps.

I'm usually installing a 3rd party launcher the minute I finish setting up my phone, but this 0ne UI 6.1 is so nicely put together that I am for the first since the note9 sticking with the stock launcher.

I agree but I wish they would give the option to have a vertical scrolling app drawer. I am waiting for good luck to provide this option. I really liked it work one ui 5.x but it's not available yet for one ui6.x
