Text messages in download bubble

Every time a group text comes in it's in a text download box. I then have to click on it from the individual and then it takes me back to the group and finally opens up the message. These are just regular texts, not pictures.

Is automatically download messages on?

I checked, group conversations was toggled on, but automatic download was off.
