Unable to check for Google playstore update

After receiving UI 7, I saw something about Google releasing an playstore update to improve battery life, i attempt to click on the update checker and it does nothing, what should I do?

Go to apps in settings and click on google play services go to see it on Google play store and you should see it in Google play store with the option of clicking for the update
