Hey there, I came from S22 Ultra and I am having some issues with my S25 Ultra which I can't find any solutions yet, please let me know if you have the same issues and how you workaround these issue.

1) There is no option to turn off AOD adaptive brightness settings. I find it impractical especially when I am in a dark room or away from a light source. My AOD is set to always on and I have always liked this feature on my S22 Ultra, useful for finding my phone in the dark, checking date/time, notification icons, and battery percentage at a distance. The new adaptive brightness setting makes the AOD almost useless for me as the adaptive brightness makes the AOD unreadable especially in a dark room. Some settings I already tried: switching off/on extra dim, eye shield comfort, adaptive color tone, lock screen wallpaper. My AOD clock is bright neon pink with a black background but I can barely see it in darker places due to the adaptive brightness. Another option is to switch off adaptive brightness completely but I need the adaptive brightness for my daily use (e.g. under the sun/ poorly-lit environments). This is not an issue in my S22 Ultra as the adaptive brightness is always on and it does not affect the AOD at all.

2) The size of the notification icons and battery percentage indicator in lock screen/ AOD is too small to be useful. It will be good if there is a way to customize the font size of the status bar, and icon size in lock screen/ AOD when the screen is still locked. I am aware of the lock screen widget customization but the size is not customizable. In addition, I think the battery percentage in the status bar can be placed next to the battery icon, rather than in the battery icon itself. It will slightly help with the readability of the battery percentage.

3) In my opinion, more features should be included in the Now Bar for it to be useful. As I am not a fan of sports and I am not following any teams, the only feature the Now Bar has is to greet me on a daily basis which is pointless. Some suggestions could be to use the Now Bar to display the battery percentage, weather, priority notifications (which can be customized), reminders, calendars, a custom message, a custom photo, or even integrate Smart Home devices that I can control from the AOD without unlocking my device. Also, the Now Bar goes missing randomly on both the lock screen and AOD, which is annoying to me even when Now Bar and Now Brief are both set to on.

I am also aware of Good Lock's Lock Star but I can't find it in the Good Lock app/ galaxy store on the S25 Ultra. My device version is One UI version 7.0, Android version 15.

Thank you for reading my lengthy post and please provide me with some suggestions if you do have any. Overall, I love my S25 Ultra but I am hoping future software updates can solve these issues.

I like those suggestions/ ideas! Just a quick note, Lock Star did just get updated to One UI 7 only 3 days ago, so have you checked it in the past couple of days, or is Good Lock on its newest version?

Thank you for your reply! I have just seen the latest news regarding Lock Star and it seems that it's only released in Korea, or the alternative is by side loading the beta APK. Will wait for the official release and update here if it solve my issues.

Cheers~

I heard they're going to change the battery icon to green when charged and red when dead and the percentage will still be inside the icon
