On my Galaxy s25 plus, whenever I take photos with the front facing camera in the gallery when I look at details it shows as 9 megapixels. The front facing camera is 12 megapixels does anyone know why it does this or have any suggestions?
I found that if you set the option at the bottom to single person, you get a 9mp image, but if you set it to the two people icon it is a 12mp image. Probably just software zoomed in for the single person, and full sensor for the "wide angle" or multi person setting.
I think the OP was just curious as to why the spec sheet stated 12mp, but their selfies are only 9mp, seeing as how it defaults to the single person mode.
