I just upgraded from s24 to s25 and my messages are weird. I get the text notification In my status bar but when I go to messages it doesn't show the blue dot for what message it's for. It looks like all my messages are open. I'm kinda regretting the phone. I can't find a way to fix it and when I'm trying to type something the 3 buttons at the bottom don't disappear and I can fix the message I typed

Try clearing the app cache. If that does not work, clear the app data. If you clear the app data, it will not harm your messages, but you will have to reset all your settings.

Can you provide a screen shot?  The notification appearance has changed.  If you upgraded your S24 prior to the Android 15 update, you did not see the changes.  Since the S25 came with Android 15 already installed, you are likely seeing the changes for the first time.  Your notifications will be grouped by app and stacked. In the case of multiple notifications from the same app, a circled number will appear on the right side of the notification card.  Tapping the card will break the stacked notifications into individual notifications and you will see who messaged you.  Tapping on the individual notification, as in the past, will take you directly to the message/chat feed.  I don't know what you are referring to when you mention the blue dot - I assume you are using Samsung messages, which I don't use.    If a blue dot normally appears in chat feeds to indicate new unread messages, I believe you will not see the dot if you tapped the message notification, since it should bring you directly to the conversation in question.

When I click on the text message it doesn't take me directly to their message. It used to on the 24. The other issue was on Facebook when i was trying to message someone the typing bar was all the way at the bottom by the 3 buttons and I couldn't click on it without hitting the home button

Have you cleared the phone's cache partition?  I believe the S25 has had at least two updates, and cache clearing should be done after each one, as sometimes leftover temporary files gum up the works.

Also, with FB messenger, try clearing the app cache.  I heard this was a problem for some people with the text window being in an odd place.  I believe that to be a Meta issue and you should contact Meta support.  I don't have that issue, as I previously rolled back to a previous version of FB Messenger due to a glitch between it and the Galaxy watches.  You might consider rolling back to see if that helps - it would also prove it to be a Meta issue, not a phone issue if it does.

This is my messages app. It just says "NOW" for the person who texted but I remembered a blue dot next to their name to show me it was unread. 1751483838408.jpg

Ok. So, you are using Google Messages and, evidently, referring NOT to the notifications in the notification panel, but opening the app directly and seeing chats with unread messages. I use Google Messages, and never recall seeing a blue dot for new messages, unless you are referring to the circle with the number of new unread messages in a particular chat.  I never actually paid much attention to that, so I don't know if and when they disappeared.  I usually check my new messages from the notifications I receive.  I currently have no messages that I have not already read, so I can't tell if it still shows up. If the indicator is gone, I believe that chats with new messages are in bold. I can't tell, because you, rightly, blanked out the contact names.  I'll keep a lookout though, so I can get back to you.  In the meantime, you might try clearing out the app cache.

There isn't a blue dot anymore in the app, initially it will say now, in a couple of minutes it will change to a number.

Yes I was used to the blue dot letting me know I haven't opened that message cause otherwise I don't know if someone texted me.

Also if you haven't opened a chat and there are multiple messages it will tell you how many, it will only clear when you open and scroll all the way down to clear the number.
