Just got the s 25 ultra. I have deleted all the apps I could that it came with and only downloaded 5 apps.. like Instagram, Facebook msger, etc. It's telling me that I've already used 43 gigs. 19 of them are for apps and 18 of them are for the system.. it doesn't make since. Can someone tell me what's going on please.

Storage is not (RAM) "memory".

Generally speaking a reserve of ~15% free storage is a good benchmark/best practice imo

Reread what I typed. Seamless update has an additional partition. Its literally the reason why if you are coming from a Samsung device it looks higher than normal.

Also like to add RAM and Storage are memory. Just 2 different types of memory. There is even ROM

RAM is NOT storage, except in the most basic sense.  It's more like workspace.  It's the space where apps open and work.  Storage is like a cabinet, it's where you store your data (apps, documents, photos, etc.).  I used to explain computers to people this way:  RAM is the workspace, storage is the closet, and the processor is the brain. Too many people would try to describe a problem to me and use storage when they meant RAM/memory.  They are not even remotely the same.

Its no different than using term for vehicle. A car, plane, or boat. They are all different and have different uses but they are all still vehicles. They are not remotely the same as you say about memory.

All you are doing is arguing semantics right now. Let me change one thing to show how stupid this is.

RAM - Temporarily stores data
ROM - Read-only data
"Storage" saves data for the long term

Better? See what I mean semantics.

If you have ever done tech support, you know it's impossible to help someone if they are not using the correct terms.  It is NOT a matter of semantics; the terms are not interchangeable.  Storage is storage, Memory is memory.  They do not perform the same functions or purpose.

Again see above you are still arguing semantics.
Just because they do different things doesn't mean they are not the same thing.

Memory is nothing but a storage device. Whether temporary, read only or long term.

Just because you use terms to simply your workload doesn't mean the term used is incorrect.

Look up Volatile Memory and then look up Non Volatile Memory. They are BOTH Memory right? Just how that Memory is used is different. Then tell me what I said is wrong. This is still used in terms today if you ever written a BIOS, know Assembly, or work in the hardware sector of computing.

This the reason the world is so stupid. People refuse to use the correct terminology for things and then insist they are correct.

Did you look it up? No... Even the computer world says i am correct. Just because it's dumb down for stupid people doesn't make the terms correct.
