Its been almost a month I purchased my S25 Ultra. I transferred everything form my S21. Upon setting notification sound - I am facing issues 1. The Whatsapp groups which are set silent on the app itself, Still plays the notification sound when my phone is on General mode 2. I can not find setting to change notification sound for each app to be different. 3. Why is my phone not adapting the setting from Whatsapp where the groups are already silent?
From what I've seen on here, the notification sounds (especially the app supplied sounds) are a big issue on this phone. I think it's an issue that will be addressed in an update.
In the meantime, in order to enable different sounds for different apps, you need to have notification categories enabled. Unless they changed the way it works in OneUI7 (which I do not have yet), go to settings/notifications/advanced settings/manage notification categories for each app and turn it on. But, I'm seeing that many people, even with the categories turned on, are having an issue with the sounds only still keeping whatever sound they set as the default notification sound for all apps. I do not know how widespread that problem is.
