While it is really not a big deal in the grand scheme of things and this has been art of the Galaxy lineup for a few years now, I would like to be able to turn of the cutout in the notification area altogether. Even if I turn it off (which can only be done in each app separately), I do not like it interfering with certain video etc. Now if I look at an image for example, yes, I can see the whole screen. That is selective though, (AFAIK, I could be wrong). Otherwise, there is a translucent effect that I do not like. I want the whole screen and I know when or whether or not the camera cutout bothers me.

So, in my searching the phone even in developer mode, online etc,I cannot find a setting to turn this completely off. Here are two examples. The first is the top of the screen in YouTube, the other is a shot I took of my wall and then screenshot the image as I was trying to minimize it to show the effect (it does not show this when in full view, so doing that action made the cutout appear). Screenshot_20250219_082847_YouTube.jpgExample.jpg
