Notifications not being sent from infrequently used apps

I stopped receiving notifications from Twitter (X) from what I assume is because I stopped using yhe app as frequently. Doing a little research I came to the conclusion that the settings "Manage App If Unsused" and other battery optimization apps are the culprit. Is there a way to have this setting on by default for other apps?

You can put unused apps into sleep or deep sleep. These apps will still be usable when needed (you may have to re-enable permissions), and won't update or send notications when sleeping. Settins/battery/background usage limits.

ah okay. Thank you for the clarification. So if an app is sleeping I won't receive notifications for it?

So disabling auto Sleeping for Twitter should mean that it won't ever not send me notifications, right?

In that setting you can exclude apps from sleeping.

Right, right. so, excluding all apps from sleeping should mean that none of them will sleep, which means that I should no longer not get notifications because of sleeping apps?

You can turn off the "put unused apps to sleep' setting and no apps will go to sleep. You can choose to keep the setting on and exclude specific apps from sleeping and/or you can choose which apps to put to sleep or put into deep sleep. If you don't want any apps to sleep, just turn the setting off. Also, sometimes if an app goes unused for a few months, permissions are removed, including notification permissions. You can prevent this by going to the app settings and turning off off "remove permissions if app is unused".
